Automatically Scanning New and Updated Projects

By default, Security for Jira will automatically scan updated issues. This scanning functionality will only be engaged once the corresponding project has been scanned, so that projects you don’t wish to scan in the first place will remain unscanned.

The automatic scanning status of a project can be seen in its Security Analysis:

Auto-scanning can be disabled by a Jira administrator. Simply visit the Settings Page and toggle the “Keep project scans up-to-date” switch.

Only Jira administrators have access to these settings.

If auto-scanning is changed, reloading the Security Analysis will reflect the change.
