Automatically Scanning New and Updated Spaces

By default, Security for Jira will automatically scan updated work items and new spaces. With regard to automatically scanning work item updates, this scanning functionality will only be engaged once the corresponding space has been scanned, ensuring that spaces you don’t wish to scan in the first place will remain unscanned.

The automatic scanning status of a space can be seen in its Security Analysis:

Auto-scanning can be disabled by a Jira administrator. Simply visit the Settings Page and toggle the “Keep space scans up-to-date” switch.

If auto-scanning is changed, reloading the Security Analysis will reflect the change:

Note that users performing a space import will have to manually scan spaces created from these processes.
