Webhook Integration

Audit log events can be sent to a Slack webhook. Webhook integration can be added and edited on the settings page.

Message delivery is best-effort. We cannot guarantee that every audit log message is delivered.

Installing webhooks

Clicking the “Install using OAuth” button installs our Slack app using OAuth. A pop-up will open, where you can select the workspace and channel that messages will be sent to.

The Slack app only requests permission to post messages using the webhook; it cannot read messages in your Slack workspace.

After installation completes, the new webhook will appear in the table below.

The first column shows a description of the webhook, which defaults to the channel and workspace name. The details column shows the number of event types which the webhook will receive message for, and hovering over it will show a tooltip with the events.

Configuring webhooks

Once your webhook is created, you can click the edit button to select which audit log events to receive messages for, or to edit the description. Clicking the trash icon removes the webhook.

Use the toggles to select which events to receive messages for. Click the checkmark button on the right to save changes, or the cross to discard them.
